The World Molecular Imaging Congress wishes to provide support for the attendance of students, postdoctoral and clinical trainees to present abstracts at the Congress.Travel stipends will be awarded to qualifying trainees. Selection of Student Travel Stipend recipients will be based upon the abstract grade and ranking as well as travel award application.
Up to 150 travel stipends will be awarded. $350 USD will be awarded to eligible European students, and $650 will be awarded to qualifying non-European students.
Eligibility requirements:
1. The trainee must be first author of an accepted abstract (poster or proffered talk).
2. The trainee must apply before the May 15, 2008 abstract deadline through the online abstract form.
3. A curriculum vitae of the applicant and letter from a supervisor, sponsor or training program director confirming the applicant's eligibility for a student stipend must be sent electronically to

no later than May 15, 2008, with a pdf printout of the electronically submitted abstract.
4. No more than two trainees may be awarded from the same research group.
5. Trainees who will receive travel support through the EMIL & DiMI Networks of Excellence and the MI Integrated Project are not eligible.
Additionally, the top four or five abstract submitters will be eligible to compete for a $3,000 Young Investigator Travel Award. Oral presentation is a significant aspect of the Young Investigator competition.
